Thought my son would like this toy as he’s constantly stealing my mobile phone to play with. Felt it was better for him to play with this toy than risk have him shooting too radio waves thru his head with my mobile.
After some initial interest, by toddler no longer plays at all with the phone. The non back-lit screen with poor resolution make it a poor substitute for my mobile and the sound is a bit too soft to hear at times, especially outside the home.
He’s gone back to stealing my mobile and I let him play back the different ringtones or put on a mobile game cause he likes to dance to the music. However, he’s recently moved from the mobile to my iPad which I now have to limit his time on. So I wish Leap Frog would move some of their resources to develop some interesting apps for this medium.

It is a good safe toy and my 9mo likes it but gets bored quickly. It would be more entertaining if it had more features or sounds. It would be also nice if it had color screen.

too bulky and heavy. awkward for little hands. and the screen is not color, so it doesn’t catch my little one’s attention very well.

I purchased this for my grand daughter’s first birthday, because she loves to play with her Mommy’s cell phone. I think she loved the buttons on this, but the lack of lights disinterested her. The screen is difficult to see and the graphics are not all that great. I hope she will enjoy it as she gets a little older.

We bought this for our son and loved the look of it in the box, but once we got it out we were disappointed by the lack of volume and the high scratchability of the screen.
He also has the Scout toy that he loves and I liked the idea of cross play, but I overestimated the performance value of the actual phone. This is probably great in conjunction with other screen/display type toys but the volume issue is a real bummer.
